COVID-19 Update

The Victorian Government has made it mandatory for all health care workers to have a third or booster vaccination for COVID-19. Eastern Palliative Care Association Incorporated (EPC) is working with all staff to ensure we comply with this mandate.

EPC is always concerned about your safety – we do not want to infect you or others with COVID-19, so please be aware that some services may be impacted more than others, including clients who are using non-invasive ventilation, nebulizers or CPAP machines. These procedures are termed “aerosol generating procedures” and when there is high community transmission these procedures may increase the risk of COVID-19 infections to EPC staff, and therefore other clients.

We are currently reviewing all areas of our service to ensure we can provide normal services however some services remain on hold such as face to face volunteers services and counselling at the office.

We sincerely thank all our great volunteers for their flexibility in these times as their services to EPC has been most impacted.  We are looking at ways to allow more volunteer services to reopen safely.

Our goal is to ensure we provide the best community based specialist palliative care services as we have always done but also to keep everyone safe. To do this we depend on you to provide us with the information we need in order to do this.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to make contact and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
